About us

Interchange Inner East is a not for profit organisation that provides quality respite services to families who have a young person with a disability living with them.

We provide assistance for people who reside in the local government areas of:

  • Boroondara
  • Manningham
  • Monash
  • Whitehorse

Currently, we support more than 250 families.

Mission

Interchange Inner East is a community based service which supports families with children or young people who have disabilities by providing quality respite care which is planned and regular.

History

Interchange began in 1980 when a group of families began the Host Program. Interchange has grown into an organisation providing a diverse range of respite services.

Funding

Interchange Inner East is funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments.

Quality

Interchange Inner East operates within the framework of the revised Disability Standards and complies with the HACC Common Standards 2010. All of our services are underpinned by the Disability Act 2006 - Austlii website.
